Forsight Australia new CEO

On behalf of the Board of Forsight Australia, I am pleased to report recent news regarding the Board’s search for an exceptional replacement for CEO Trish Wetton. Between September 2017 and April 2018, the Board undertook this demanding quest and over 150 applicants were considered. After many interviews the Board has appointed Danny Kapustin in the role.

Danny is an experienced executive in the not-for-profit sector and has most recently been the CEO of TAD (providing assistive technology services to people with disabilities) where he led the creation of a new strategic direction and transformation of its operations and marketing.

Danny has over 5 years experience on the Board of Allevia (a group home disability service provider) and has held senior roles with Lifestyle Solutions and Police Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC) managing operations throughout NSW. Danny holds a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management (University of NSW) which compliments his practical experience.

Danny has personal and professional experience with disability and understands the challenges that families face in ensuring their loved ones get the best supports available. He is passionate about the sector and is excited to be joining the Forsight Australia team.

Danny commences duties on 4 June 2018. Please welcome Danny to our Forsight Australia family.

Individualised Funding Seminar in Sydney

Forsight Board members and senior management attended the NDS ‘Leading the Way’ Seminar at the Sydney Hilton on Sunday 12th February 2012. Mike Bailey, Hilton McKenna, Andrew McRobert, Toni Alexander and John Allsopp attended along with Trish Wetton and Miriana Gazivoda.

Everyone enjoyed the full day of interesting speakers talking about topics, including person-centred planning and individualised funding. By July 2014 a new funding arrangement will be put in place by NSW Ageing, Disability and Home Care that will radically change the way disability programs are funded in the future.

There will be challenges along the way and Forsight Board and management are making sure they are up there with the best.

Welcome to Forsight

Forsight welcomed two new directors to the Board on Wednesday 22nd February 2012. Chairman Mike Bailey paid tribute to Toni Alexander and John Allsopp for their volunteering and their commitment to serve on the Forsight board.

Toni and John individually bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the board table. All the adults who are deaf/blind with additional disabilities will benefit from the energy and goodwill that having a full complement of board members brings.
